We performed donor VASER liposuction from her abdomen, waist, flanks, back and inner thighs in order to obtain enough fat for a good result. Gluteal Enhancement – VASER Liposuction Removal of Injected Silicone with Fat Transfer Reconstruction

This 32 year-old woman from the McAllen, Texas area presented to my plastic surgery clinic for treatment after receiving illegal, black market silicone “butt-pumping” injections. Although she had initially had been without symptoms, she was beginning to experience pain and discomfort in the areas injected, and her skin was becoming congested and with discoloration. She was very anxious and wanted to remove the offending silicone that had been injected. I reassured the patient that she was not in immediate danger and that I could help her. Her examination showed soft tissue fullness in the areas injected, as opposed to the hard, encased silicone granulomas that can sometimes develop, and which require formal surgical excision. This patient was a candidate for a minimally invasive, VASER debulking of the injected silicone with immediate gluteal reconstruction with fat transfer. She is 5’2” tall and weighed 138 pounds. For her procedure we performed donor VASER liposuction from her flanks, outer thighs, and inner thighs to harvest the fat and sculpt her waist. The harvested fat was prepared and enriched with her own Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). We then performed VASER liposuction to debulk the silicone from her butt. We transferred 540ml of fat into the left side and 620ml into the right side to obtain a symmetrical result.
