How Laser Hair Removal Works
Before laser hair removal begins, patients are to shave the area to be treated the night before they come in. The area should not be plucked or waxed as this will pull out the hair follicles. During the procedure, Intense pulsed light (IPL) is applied through our machine to the target area. IPL destroys the hair follicles below the surface of the skin. The light is absorbed and the hair follicle becomes heated, damaged, and eventually through consistent treatment, completely destroyed without destroying any tissue around the hair follicle.
