We will take a detailed history of your general health status and any pre-existing risk factors that could affect your surgical may go wrong. An assessment of the quality and quantity of your existing breast tissue will be made in order to determine the proper choice of breast implant and technique.
When you come to the clinic, your breast will be measured in detail, so that any pre-existing breast asymmetry can be detected. An ideal candidate for TUBA is a patient with minimal breast asymmetry and minimal sagging or ptosis of the breasts. How Is A Belly Button Boob Job™ Performed?
TUBA is typically performed in a surgical outpatient setting and with light anesthesia, therefore there is no pain or discomfort during the surgery. A vertical incision is made somewhere around the belly button, where the surgery takes place.
With custom-designed slender instruments, a tunnel is created under the skin from the belly button to the breasts. A careful technique is required while creating pockets for implants in your breast muscles.
The implants are then rolled tightly and inserted into the newly created pockets and filled with sterile saline from an IV bag through soft plastic tubes. Once we confirm a symmetrical result, the fill tubes are removed and the navel incision is closed using buried dissolvable sutures.

The Belly Button Boob Job™ can also be combined with a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) for a “Single Scar” Mommy Makeover procedure. We use the term “Single Scar” because we are avoiding any scars on the breast! In addition, combining the Belly Button Boob Job™ with a tummy tuck allows us to use silicone implants instead of saline! Silicone implants, which are pre-filled, cannot be placed through the belly button.
We can also perform a Belly Button Boob Job™ combined with a tummy tuck, which transforms it into a Trans-Abdominoplasty Silicone Breast Augmentation (TASBA). With TASBA we are able to combine the benefits of TUBA by placing silicone implants in the subpectoral space.
