Upper-body lifts are composed of different surgical procedures, which help with the appearance of both the upper body and back. In some cases, patients might need to undergo additional procedures like a tummy tuck to achieve their desired results.
For most patients, you will either have a breast lift or an arm lift from the upper body lift. Due to weight loss and skin shrinkage, a breast lift may be more challenging for those.
Typically, breast implants are required in addition to the lift in order to restore a firmer, more pleasing shape to the breasts. For male patients with breast enlargement or drooping excess skin, called gynecomastia, we usually recommend VASERLipo® in addition to excisional procedures.
This allows us to remove the excess skin and reshape the chest to create a more masculine appearance. At this point, men can also choose to add pectoral implants to further improve the appearance of the chest. An arm lift, or Brachioplasty, eliminates redundant skin and fat hanging off the upper arm.
Over time, the skin on our arms tends to accumulate and sag. An arm lift can be used in order to reduce the excess skin and tighten up the flesh.
Even though the arm lift scar is one of the hardest to hide, patients seem quite happy with their arm lifts because the procedure leaves the arms looking more shapely.
This has two different techniques: the full or short scar arm lift. These depend on the amount of skin removed and the patient’s aesthetic goals.
What Is A Lower Body Lift For Post-Bariatric Surgery?
A lower body lift helps improve the appearance of your butt, thighs, and the back of your legs. A typical lower body lift can include a full lower body lift or individual parts like a butt lift, posterior body lite or thigh lite.
VASERlipo is usually used to enhance the results of a lower body lift. Some patients choose to add gluteal implants in order to achieve sculpted legs after the procedure and are happy with their results.
Abdominoplasty, also known as an “around-the-world” procedure, is a lower body lift that also targets an individual’s stomach area.
